Those are awesome 3G speeds. Hopefully an indication of Sprint's new NV towers.

I ended up excahning for another model because I began having issues with the phone. BUt I think my battery issue may be an issue with Sprint and it's network. Recently recpetion and 3G have been horrible where I work and spotty around where I live. (I stay in Baltimore for the record.) Today I took the evo to work and used it as normal and it's doing horrible.

I noticed in your screenshot that you were roaming (did you notice that too?). If your phone is losing Sprint 3G and roaming and back and forth and back and forth all day long, this will, indeed, chew up a ton of battery.

However, I also noticed your "AWAKE" and "SCREEN ON" time are VERY large. Are you using the phone for hours and hours almost continuously?

I love this phone. Size is great. Sound is better than old Evo and screen is big....here is battery life hrs

Yes I was aware I'm roaming. The service in my area has been terrible recently and the only way to make cetain I get my text and calls is by allowing it to roam. That's why I was saying i'm going to need sprint to fix the towers soon because it's destroying my battery life.

Also yes I do use my phone constantly but before the towers around here had gone out of wack I could do so and the phone would be fine through out the day.

Well last night at work i listened to music with my phone for a solid 10hrs while running a jack hammer. I for one will never complain is my battery keeps up like this...

No no, not streaming lol. If i was streaming that would be truly fantastic lol.

Still though, using Mixzing for my music for 10hrs then i was sleeping for a while after...60% is just crazy to have left after 17hrs. Never would have happen on my og evo not with both its batteries.

With all due respect it's obvious you're not using your phone much. And while I wasn't sitting next to you while you allegedly ran 10 solid hours of music on your phone, I'm gonna call BS based on the stats you've showed us. Your screen only used 34% of its power which means you weren't using it. That long flat time means that it wasn't doing anything....you were sleeping dude. You know how I know? because that's how mine looks if I leave it unplugged all night. Your battery was in standby almost 20% of the time! Which means roughly 20% of the time your battery was doing zip, zilch, nadda! Its a little deceptive, in my opinion, to tout the greatness of the battery when you've essentially left it alone for many many hours without using it. Just sayin

I called people out on that when they were claiming 24 hours of battery life on the original evo.

A NEW EVO was only getting about 6hours of battery life with regular usage and 4 with constant usage.

*swyped from the evo so excuse any typos*

I think the average person uses how many minutes per month? 500? 1000? I've looked through this entire thread this phone lasts a full day or much more depending. I did have the original EVO for 2 yrs. This EVO's battery efficiency is much much better for a number of reasons.

Battery life can be all over the map. But I will point out that if he had been playing music for 10 hours, that uses no screen time/energy at all. And just playing music also uses minimal cpu.

I used my device on an average to heavy rate and was able to squeeze 24+ hours on one charge. Now there was a period of about 6 hours that I went to sleep and didn't use it, but I'm pleased with the battery life. I'm not a power user but it was on Wi-Fi the entire time, did surf the web, make calls and texts, plus sent a few emails. I didn't log in a bunch of gametime either because I just wanted to see if I could even make it to 24 hours. It's all subjective to how each person uses their phone, but just the piece of mind knowing that with little usage one could/can get 24 hours of use is priceless to me coming from the OG & 3D EVO's. Just Sayin'

This morning I was using the Evo LTE, unplugged, to talk to my Mom, via bluetooth, for over two hours. I checked the battery after, and I hadn't even used 10%. I was shocked; made me question if the battery indicator was lying to me. On my Evo 3D, that would have taken something like 60% of the battery.

The first week I owned this EVO I fell asleep with TuneinRadio streaming(WiFi) on two different occasions. The EVO only lost +/-15% battery after running all night.

Well it really shows you know little then. Install MixZing music player, put a thousand songs on your phone, plug in your headphones and give it a shot.

I would have no reason to make up stories about my phones battery nor would i care to.

And yes i was not using the phone for anything else during that time I WAS AT WORK!

Whether or not you believe me is irrelevant to me. My og evo needed 3 batteries to make it through a night like that, Evolte is far better for the way i use it.

So this is what I've been getting. As you can see its not good. I've also had to charge it around 5 or so hours of use. And this is with the advice I've gotten in this forum. Any suggestions after seeing my usage?

Sent from my EVO using Android Central Forums

...furthermore, here you are implying you drained your battery after 6+hrs when you clearly charged it partially during its rundown thus resetting the timer. This 6hrs is time run down After the second partial charge... Pot.....kettle...

Exactly, and when i'm not using my phone for anything else but music, i have switch pro installed to switch off 3g data. This one trick alone would give anyone 10 fold on their battery. When i'm on lunch or on my way home i switch 3g on, check my mail and what not, then toggle 3g off again.

This is just the little things i'm use to doing do to the bad battery life i got on my og.

Okay rant over...

you're taking this a little too personal. Not sure what you're getting at, but I said in my post that I had to recharge it because I was getting horrible battery life. There is no deception on my end, just an honest, real world assessment I was sharing with the forum. Now you on the other hand, would like us to believe that you used your battery for 10 hours of heavy usage with little or no battery drain, which just isn't true. your own screen shot tells the true story. All I'm asking is that you not deceive people into thinking you can get that type of mythical production out of your battery. Tell the whole story. Is that too much to ask?

Like i said...Turn off your 3g data, turn on your music with headphones (external speaker uses more battery) and give it a shot.

You saying that i lied is you making it personal. I simply have no reason to and could really care less if you dont believe me at this point
