After the last update from Verizon I cannot get my phone to charge past 75-77% and that is on an all night 8 hour charge. I never see the green light and my battery stats say I have been on Battery for 43 Days which is Impossible. For a while I was running 2 batteries and only charging them in an external charger and then swapping them. They never reported above 50% in this configuration but would run for 2-4 hours of heavy use on 2% battery life.

I recently purchased the Rezound Battery and have only charged it in the phone. Still only 70%. Same thing on the OEM TB Battery.

I actually think I am never getting a full charge, the life of the rezound battery is not much different then the OEM.

Any ideas out there? Iv'e tried the let them die and recharge on the phone, no luck.

Do you use the same cable for the phone's internal charger and the external charger you mentioned? If so, try changing it.

I've already done that. The original external charger i was using was the Siedio. I was getting extremely long charge times and topping out around 50%. Bagged the charger and went back to the OEM with the same issues. Swapped out the cable and now am getting 70ish. I also have the media dock with a separate cable and am getting the same out of that.

have you tried charging your battery while your phone is off? I know with the rezound battery, when I charge it, it will get to around 70-80% then jump to 100% and say fully charged.

So I have restarted from the beginning giving it another shot.

With the rezound Battery
10:30pm phone dies
10:45pm Plugged phone in with it turned off and charged over night.
8:00am phone is still charging with orange light.
Turned on an phone is reporting 84% charged
Plug back in and by 9AM it is at 85%

Does this seem like an extremely long charge cycle? I will be trying this again with the OEM Battery tonight.

Same thing happened to my Tbolt, I never did find a solution. Called verizon and they sent a replacement.

Yup, all the evidence points to a problem with the phone. Sounds like the batteries are getting fully charged via the external charger though but the phone is not registering their charge level properly. Since you said it started after the last OTA update, you could try a master reset to see if that helps. Otherwise, the update may not have installed properly and the phone is stuck in limbo land or there is some type of hardware issue. In either case if a master reset doesn't help, you'll have to contact Verizon for a replacement.

Bit late but thought I would add my two bob's worth. With one (Nokia) cable, two LG P500 phones would only charge to 72 and 74%. However when I tried with a second cable, they both reached 100% in normal charging time. So there must be a fault in the cable. Pity I only worked that out after buying a new battery!
