battery or phone

after rooting my phone i deleted all the garbage VZW puts on the phone. I downloaded Autokiller and played with the settings and downloaded cache mate to clear cache and my battery lasts all day no problem. I listened to Pandora today for 2 hours and my battery didn't even go down.

What is your update frequency set for on Weather, email, etc?
Stock weather and email update time is 15mins, make it 1 hour or longer to save battery.
The weather will be a big one because it hits the GPS every time it refreshed.

Also, Don't install any "Task Killer" unless you want more problems with your phone!!

The stock weather updates every hour. The GPS is enabled but like CRKhead said, its not being used unless I use something that enables it. As for the email, I looked in the settings of the gmail app and I didn't see any update frequencies for the app to set. So I'm sure about that. I have Facebook for HTC Sense and Twitter for HTC Sense updating every hour. But I don't notice the update unless I go to the screen that the Friendstream is on. That is when I see it update. So I'm not really sure what is going on. I don't have it updating a whole lot so I'm dumb founded.

Skype turns itself on...check your running tasks not just when things update. Most the VZW stock stuff (skype, Vcast, My verizon) normally start on there own. If you root you can delete all that. I also deleted the stocks app and news.

auto killer is not a task killer....it lets you change the settings of your multi-tasking

To be honest, I am not confident in myself when it comes to rooting so I just leave everything how it is for the most part. After looking into my phone I noticed that I had news and stocks set to sync even though they don't appear on any widgets and they don't appear to have been opened up before. I unchecked those and now I have facebook for htc sense, google, twitter for htc sense and weather all set to sync on my phone. I use facebook and twitter because I link those to the contacts that I have in my phone. But all together I have 4 accounts that I have set to sync. 3 of those sync every hour and the other one being google syncs whenever I receive an email or whenever I want to as far as my contacts are concerned. I'm hoping I'm on the right track with this. Am I?

Yes, but have you checked the battery use section in settings? I'm still curious what that says...

Right now it says Android System 39%, Cell Standby 22%, Display 15%, Phone idle 14%, and Wi-Fi 10%. I am only using Wi-Fi because I have a router and I was told that 3G uses more battery than Wi-Fi. That is the current settings right now.
