Battery Question (is there such a thing as "overcharging"?)

Is it true that these batteries will last longer if you unplug them as soon as the phone is 100% charged?
Also, will the batteries deteriorate faster if you charge them a couple times a day (even when they're still 50%+) instead of just once a day?
Or are these wives' tales?

Lipo's will not deteriorate and you cannot "overcharge" them. Unlike NiMah batts they have no memory.
