Battery recharge time

I generally plug my GTP 8.4 in to charge when I go to bed so its always at 100% next a.m. Tonight I was running low and at 19% battery at 11.40 p.m. so plugged it in. Just now 12.13 a.m. went to check to make sure auto software updates was not checked and the battery is already up to 54%. That would indicate it will go from 20% to 100% in less than 1 1/2 hrs.

I have never seen that fast a recharge on my Nexus 7 or the Nexus 9 (which I returned to buy this tablet) is this typical? Using the charger it came with.

I think the charge current typically starts to drop as the battery approaches 100%, so it probably won't hit 100% that quickly. But I do notice that my 2013 Nexus 7 can charge pretty fast overall. I've never timed it, but I think it can go from around 40% to 100% in about 2 hours or so.

My Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 when i 1st bought it in May.

It would recharge from 5/20% to 100% in just 1 hour but now it takes more than 2 hours.
