Battery Saver Mode in Oreo

Can anyone tell me if in Oreo those 2 SUPER annoying orange bars appear on the top and bottom??
Google added that incredibly annoying "feature" starting with Lolipop/5.1 and I was hoping after all the negative feedback they would've gotten rid of the two orange bars on top and bottom by the time Nugat rolled out but that didn't happen.

I wish wish it hasn't been passed on to now Oreo as well. Can anyone tell me??

They are still there. Pixel XL on 8.

All the decisions I'm seeing like this and with the persistent notifications are for the less educated/unaware people using these phones. You have to shove it right in their face to get the point across. They are now catering to the mainstream users and power users don't matter, they will figure something else out on their own.

With Oreo, now they are red
