Battery saving mode automatcially disabling

Anyone switching on battery saving mode only to find the next time you look at your phone it has been disabled? Might be something I'm doing which auto disables it, but I can't figure out what. I haven't yet managed to keep it on for more than an hour or so.

Battery saving mode might be initiated once the device reaches a certain battery level. If you are charging it and it reaches above that minimum it might turn off and return to a normal state. Or, battery saving could be automatically disabled at anytime during charging.

It seemed to be related to the ever decreasing battery life I was experiencing. Wiping cache solved both problems. Seems like a common issue with this phone.
