Battery stuck at 40%.

So I got my Bionic today and I got it all set up and connected the charger since it only had 30% battery. Battery got to 40%and won't go any higher. I've had it connected to the charter for over an hour and still on 40%. 4G off, wifi on.

Any ideas? May try factory reset and see if that helps.

Gave it a shot, no good. Did a factory reset and battery at 90% now. That was weird but a little expected seeing as this is my 6th Android phone since Android came out (Eris, Droid, Incredible, Droid X, Droid 2, Bionic).

Glad to see its fixed. I recommended the battery pull and reboot as an option before the factory reset. Sometimes it works in weird cases like this, but you resolved the issue.

Thanks for the help. Normally I would have done that, but since I hadn't installed all my apps yet and was still in "am I going to like this device" mood, I went ahead and did a factory reset.

Thats exactly what I figured in the situation you were in with a brand new device....
