Android Central Question

People have asked this question a number of times over here but my situation is a little bit different from previous questions.
As the tittle says it all, my battery drops from 70% to 0% and cellphone turns off. But as soon as i connect it with a charger, it recharges really quickly. For example when i charge it for 5 minutes, and turns the cellphone on, the battery shows 35 or 40% battery (In just 5 to 10 minutes charging)..
I have changed the battery but the problem still persists, although now it does not stop at 70%. With newer battery it drops at 50%. This has been happening for like 8,9 months now and i am really pissed off. Plz suggest me a good remedy.. would be thankful.

Belodin yes, the new battery does not drop as quickly as the previous one used to drop. There is some kind of improvement in terms of battery dropage. But still it does drop suddenly and that's the main problem. Will battery callibration will work ? Or is there any kinf of hardware issue inside the phone? Or should it buy another battery? Plz suggest me a good remedy

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? If it's a really old phone, then the replacement battery you bought might also be very old (having sat on a shelf for years), which means it could also have deteriorated significantly.

I suspect that the old battery had a dendrite that developed at 70% - and the replacement battery has a dendrite that develops at 50%. (Lithium Battery Dendrite links if you're interested.) As B. Diddy said, if it's an older phone, it's going to be a problem finding a battery made of new cells. You might try companies like HOB Custom Power to see if they make batteries for your phone. If they use new cells (which a company like that does), the battery will be a new battery.
