Battery Testimonies

I didn't have the extra $100 to spend on the maxx version, but I have to say it didn't seem like much of an upgrade for $100. 30% more battery life and 16gig more memory.

To some people that may be worth it, but I had decided that I would only get the maxx version if it was $50 more which would have been a fair deal I think.

It IS only $50 more if you buy it from Amazon or Wirefly . . . if that works for you =)

Anyway, back to Battery Testimonies (not being snarky, just refocusing) . . . now that some time has passed it would be great to hear some real world numbers to compare with what I'm reading on the maxx hd forums . . . Thanks to anyone who can take the time to update us on this =)

well today. with hardly any use. wifi/gps/bluetooth turned off. and the normal cell signal changing 1x/3/lte no signal due to lack of signal strength in the office. 6 and 1/2 hours since unplugged this morning. 95% remaining.. my previous phone would of burned down to atleast 60% by now just sitting there due to the cell radio bouncing around

So you get a full day easily? Like say maybe 6 am till 10 pm . . I know that depends on usage though . .

I got my maxx from best buy for $199 from matching amazon, and then two days later added my mom and wife on with sgs3 for $149 amazon price matched. Never had a single problem getting them to price match. No restocking fees and 30/45 day return policy depending if you have reward zone silver or not.

Here's my battery, given it charged about 5x at 10 minutes a time thanks to being plugged into my car dock.

their insurance plan. atleast on the iphone 4, was at 14 a month (might be less now). and at a time when most companies still wouldnt cover water damage it was great in the even of accidental dousing, now the only real benefit is there is no "deductible" if you need to claim it.., so basicly 14 a month bb no deductable vs 10 a month 170 deductable.. but incase thats changed since i got my i4 there when it hit verizon, you can just walk in and ask. or call if your really far away from a bestbuy

My Total Equipment Coverage (TEC) is $6.99 a month with a $100 deductible on a RAZR Maxx HD.

I stopped into Best Buy tonight. Bummed that the display was just a dummy phone so I couldn't see all it's glory. Best Buy will match the Amazon price so I could get the Maxx HD at BB for $199 which is HUGE! But, I'm not sure about the protection coverage. It's $9.99 a month (vs VZW 6.99), no deductible (vs VZW $99), and it does not cover lost or stolen (VZW does cover). If there is a problem outside the initial 30 days, they ship it out to be fixed which takes 3-5 days and they give you a loaner phone. When I had problems with my Thunderbolt (2 of them), VZW shipped me a certified new phone overnight and then I just had to ship the defective phone. And VZW did not charge me a deductible either time. Decisions Decisions.

That was part of your Thunderbolts manufacturer warranty which generally lasts a year or 90 days per replacement (whichever is longer at that given time). Insurance would send you a new phone if it's a newer release or a refurbished device months down the road with the $99 deductible. I assume Verizon would replace the device even if it'd purchased through Best Buy as Motorola would be the one taking the hit either way. But I can't confirm this as all my phones have been purchased through a Verizon corporate store or website.

Yup. The M will get you that. I did a 6AM to about 11PM last night with 5 hours screen time - which is a lot for me, usually I'm at 2-3 hours and 33% before bed time. My normal day is usually 7AM to midnight.. I was bored at work and decided to download a new home launcher and customized it. Zero charging during this time and I got to about 8% battery before ready for bed and charging.

Battery life has been pretty impresive so far on the RAZR HD it seems to be very similar to the original RAZR Max. After 15 hours of regular use for me it only went down to 50%
