Battery voids warranty?

I am a tech for sprint, and I have never, nor will any other tech in my store void a warranty for a battery that we sell in the store. It just wouldnt make any logical sense... We sell the 2600 battery at my location.

That is good, but as far as HTC is concerned the warranty is void. This is BS, but it is what it is.

*shrug* If I ever have a problem, I'll just switch back out to the stock battery.

Exactly, just as simply as that... the same thing goes for rooted devices. Even though I do not recommend rooting any device.

The best advice I could give you is to get the sprint warranty, so you wouldnt have to deal with htc. I do find it odd that it would void the warranty, especially if sprint sells it. I will look more into this.

why would rooting void htc's warranty when they are the ones trying to promote rooting? just something to think about.

Ask Sprint if they've ever heard of Magnussen-Moss Warranty act. It's illegal for them to void the warranty for using aftermarket parts unless they can prove the aftermarket part caused the problem.

Put the stock battery back in and go to another Sprint store, and be done with it.
