Battery

I got my nexus yesterday and it came with two batteries. The guy said that the other battery might not work because it was in the nexus he replaced that had a problem with the charging port which popped and started smoking. Is it possible the could've killed that battery? I want to use it as a spare but I'm afraid my phone will mess up if I do.

I don't think it will mess up your phone if the battery is bad, it would just not hold a charge and power up your phone. I would throw it in the phone and see what happens, but that's just me.

The other battery works. I'm glad too because the battery life is crappy. Today I went from 5:45 AM to 5:45 PM on the first, and I'm currently at like 60% on the second.
