BB Storm To Incredible

One quick question... I switched from the Storm 1 to Incredible. I sold my phone to Gazelle. It say to remove a SIM card if your phone has one, and if it doesn't have one to cancel my service. (Sending in a phone with active service will reduce the value of what they pay me for it.)

It is my understanding the Storm 1 doesn't have a SIM card. It has a SIM card slot, but VZW's CDMA network doesn't use SIM cards. Is this true?

If so, how do I insure that I have cancelled my service on the phone? I've already activated my Incredible. Is that all I need to do?

If you already activated your Inc then I beleive your Storm is cancelled as far as that is concerned. Storm's do have a sim card, but its really only for global use. I wouldn't remove it, because its not like the service or contract follows it...that I know of anyways. I think with at-t your stuff follows the card so you only have to switch the sim out and into your new phone..something like that. I haven't had at-t since they had sim cards lol.

As for the op, I switched from storm 1 to this and am glad I did. I grew tired of the browser on the storm, and none of the other browsers really worked well for me. The last os leak i downloaded right before i got my inc was the best by far, so I really think with some software love the storm may never had needed a storm 2...its not a bad phone imo by any means....just for me, this is much much better.

Yep Verizon doesn't put anything on the sim card unless you go out of the country.
Att I think saves your info to both the phone and the sim card, so if you wanted to use one phone during the day and change at night you just pop out the sim card.

I have been on bb and crackberry for years now and am taking the leap for the Evo. Thanks for all the info peeps! This has been helpful, and im installing google sync now on my bb.

I have updated my Storm enough with leaks that it has become a pretty usable phone. I just can't seem to fix the memory leaks and I am so very tired of doing battery pulls. I was waiting for a phone that really jumped out at me and the Inc was it. Now I am just playing the waiting game until it ships. I still have a Tour so I can get a Crackberry fix if I really need too, but I think I will be too busy exploring the ins and outs of Android to jones for my berry.
