BBM Coming To Android!!!

Well, unless you have to leave your house and walk to your physical mailbox to get the mail, I don't view it as some huge inconvenience. You drop the shade and select the notification. You don't have to view it in the Gallery, it appears in the message itself.

Also, GTalk does do you the favor of showing thumbnails and descriptions for YouTube links, or parsing links into actual images assuming the files are common formats.

its just an extra step people that are used to bbm dont want to do. I was a BB user for a few years before coming to Android. Gtalk is fine for im, but its not as good as bbm. Theres a reason why so many people love bbm. Its probably one of the best im programs out there.

Try whatsapp. I promise it works just as well as BBM, and automatically searches the contacts from your phone to add them.

The problem with all of these apps like pingchat, whatsapp etc is that not a whole lot of people use them. I can guarantee you I have probably 5 contacts total in my phone that use either one of those apps and about 150 that use bbm. I have probably 10 contacts that have gtalk but rarely ever use it.

It's pointless to argue about degrees of inconvenience. Telepathy would be even less inconvenient than GTalk, but that's hardly relevant to a discussion about handheld messaging apps.

The bottom line is that GTalk has limitations that it has no business having in 2011.

who sends photos directly anymore? imgur that ****. or dropbox it. i dont want your dick pix cluttering my phone
