Probably for gaming and downloading
Probably not unless it is a 4k screen and they're using it to push aspects of that. It'd be unfortunate if they keep the gear only able to work with their firmware and fail to adopt daydream.Could this beast mode be of some benefit to VR gaming or applications ?
Don't know how taxing or spec demanding VR is on phones, but maybe some sort of software or processing boost would give an edge in the VR world with Samsung's newer VR units being developed. Maybe they want to get a leg up in VR over competitors somehow.
The question is: why?
As far as I know, the Galaxy is set to improve the performance when it is necessary. So, it saves battery when running light applications.
I don't know why anybody would leave the phone with maximum performance if there is no need. Full power to run Whatsapp? lol
When innovation is scarce, manufacturers begin to invent unnecessary functions.
I hope this "beast mode" is something more useful instead of just a "turbo boost" .
