Beats audio not working, anyone else?

Hello everyone, just transferred over to T-mobile from Virgin Mobile and went straight for the gold. Got the HTC One S and love it so far!

One main issue though, it may be normal but I'm not sure. If I'm playing music with my Monster headphones, and I pull down the top screen and toggle the Beats Audio to ON and then OFF, I can hear absolutely no audible difference whatsoever.

Whenever I go to MENU in the top right corner and in the sound enhancer place, I can click on every single different equalizer setting and they all kick in instantly, however, I click on Beats Audio setting and I have to click it twice for it to begin..

Whats the problem, bad phone? Even turning screen off after toggling on the Beats, seems to trigger it to kick in. It's like any "tap" anywhere or on anything a second time does the trick to make it come alive.

Edit: now that I play with it I realize that it instantly works whenever I play music from the "Play Music" aplayer, but if I click on the "My Phone" player, thats where the Beats lags a bit and have to click twice.. Can anyone else please confirm this is the case on their phone as well. Thanks !

no issue here, but while your playing music.... go to settings>sound>sound enhancer and you can verify beats is on. also try changing what headphones it says you are using, default is "other" change it to beats monsters in the drop down menu for full expierence.

I was going to say... try different headphones. I have no issues with Beats either.
