Does anybody know of any ROMs that have the Beats software other than Infected Eternity? I would like to keep trying other options, but I like this ROM and I use my phone as an mp3 player so much that there's virtually no reason for me to leave a ROM I like with such a useful feature.

Thanks.

Have you tried poweramp? It's got all the eq, crossfeed, etc options that you could possibly wants. Beats audio is a gimmick, not an improvement to sound quality.

Check out head-fi for the real low down on beats.

You could try Gingeritus 3d. It is a Sense 3 based Rom that I believe has Beats audio rolled in.

I'm running Gingeritis 3d v 1.1 it has sense 3.0 and Beats. Gingeritis 3d v 1.2 is out so give that a try. there is a thread in this forum that has the link.

Actually Beats audio is a fairly sophisticated eq for the phone. It is somewhat particular and may not be the "sound" you like but it is anything but a gimmic. I know the guy's who designed it, they are very competent AE's.

I don't doubt your friends implemented the dsp they were paid to create, but it is still clearly a gimmick.

Digital should be converted to analog as accurately as possible. The signal should then be amplified with as little noise, crosstalk and distortion as possible. A wire with gain is the ideal. Beats audio, much like Sony megabass from the late 90s, simply degrades the playback of the source media. To each their own though I suppose.
