Beautiful Widgets detected as malware?

I'm running Avast Mobile Security on my phone right now. This morning, it started detecting the Beautiful Widgets app as malware. Is anybody else getting a warning about that? I notice that I'm due for an update on Beautiful Widgets. I'm not sure if I should run the update or delete the apps. I've had both of these apps on my phone for months. Any suggestions?

Mobile antivirus apps (especially Avast) are known to be useless in detecting real viruses but are quick to identify perfectly legit apps as malware (such as Gmail or BW). My advice is to update BW and delete Avast.

I just got the same notification. I noticed in the reviews for Beautiful Widgets many have reported the same notification from Avast. When searching for a solution I stumbled across these.

Thinking about trying TrustGo to see if I get the same notification before uninstalling.

Thanks. I think I'll try TrustGo, too. I find it hard to believe that BW is suddenly a problem app.

I decided to download Lookout. It does not detect BW as malware.

It will probably end up detecting some other app as malware. Just warning you.
