Beautiful Widgets Problem

Sometimes when I download a clock skin on Beautiful Widgets it won't show up under installed skins. Does anyone have any idea why?

I just downloaded a skin called "Ice Cream Sandwich", when I go to "Installed Skins" it's not there.

That happened to me awhile back but I can't remember what I did to correct the problem. Have you tried clearing the cache and data in the settings? Restarting your phone?


Edit - Just tried to download the same skin and it wouldn't show up for me either. You may want to contact the developer to report.

They are aware of the problem. You can go into your application menu, choose BW and register the phone in the skin market (snapshot below) then go to http://market.beautiful-widgets.com/ and sign in with the account you chose and then send the skin (weather clock, battery) to the device and either have it apply it or just download it.

The problem is primarily seen with skins with spaces in their name.

If you will look around there you will find that you can use the customization tools and make customized clocks, etc. I modified several for transparent backgrounds as I don't like my wallpaper being blocked.
The one below is a modified graffiti with a different AM/PM indicator.

I've had the same issue but not with the super clock skins just the beautiful home weather skins. This is my fave super clock though.

You can use the method outlined for any skin that you have problems downloading. Hopefully the DEV will get the problem fixed soon, but that is his work-around. I still use it as I kind of like it better because I can customize my screens.

Latest update to BW is shown to have fixed the download problem.
