I didn't even know about this feature until someone posted about it. You just touch the date on the Beautiful Home widget and you are taken directly to your calendar. Neat!

So, is the new animation for opening weather the only thing new about this update? J/W cause I haven't saw much of a difference yet.
Your a sarcastic one now aren't you! Know whats funny? After I read this, I tried it with the old one and it even works there... I knew about the alarm clock and WEATHER already.... I wish there was a five day weather forecast and I also wish that you could somehow launch goggle weather via the widget...
LOL, I guess I was being sarcastic, but I wasn't trying to be mean about it. I wrote it like that, because just about everyone knows about the weather. I wasn't exactly making any "Breaking News" with the last piece of the sentance.
Now this I look forwards to. As soon as he has made it skinnable I would love to have a theme set so I can make something steampunk for it.

The tap-date-to-open-calendar feature is great, but has anyone figured out how to configure it to:
1. Open an exchange calendar?
2. Open the calendar to show a day's or week's view, rather than the whole month.

The calendar link is pretty sweet, but I just can't seem to get the weather to open very easily. Where is the sweet spot? I'm using the large home.

Try tapping wherever the weather icon is. So the lower right side. I found that you sort of have to be patient with it, it takes a while to load it seems.

The weather animations, I think anyway, that's one thing I noticed different from the last version.
of course. the weather seems to be updating now, but i am not getting the current condition image (i.e. sun & moon, etc). they show up for the 3-day forecast, but not the main
EDIT: re-installed app, no fix. apparently i'm not the only one having this same issue, so hopefully it will get a fix soon

The original icons making a comeback was the surprise. If you are not getting the animation icons, go to the beautiful weather folder on your sd and delete all its content. Then remove the widget and reinstall.
upon further review, i also put my WWD on my home screen, and no weather icons on there either, so methinks it is a continuing problem with google's weather service
