Been a while since I've been on Android, how does it handle group messaging?

So the last Android phone I had was the Note 2, and I've had an iPhone 5 since then. I'm waiting out the announcement of the G4 and then deciding between that or the S6e, but that's a whole different thread.

Anyways, how does the Android, more specifically the S6e handle group messaging? Does it work like it does on iPhones, where all messages get sent to the thread, or do I get individual texts whenever someone else replies? Only asking because the last time I had an Android, it was the latter that happened.

It seems to have the ability but I haven't used it yet. I will test it tomorrow.

Right, I get that it's an MMS. But do the replies to the thread get sent in the thread? Or do they come up as an individual thread between you and the replyer?

They get sent in the thread. Not to individual threads.

It is carrier dependent. I am on Telus and when people in my group texts reply, they all go to individual threads. Does not matter which text program I am using either....

You need to enable "Use MMS for group messages" or something like that in the settings.

On ATT group convos becoming MMS and are all in their own thread, not individual threads. There may be a setting you have to check in order to make this happen.
