Been unplugged off of full charge for 2 hours, battery at 43%

Every time my phone is rebooted, quite a few HTC Sense battery draining widgets start up in the background as services that poll for information and would kill my battery in just a few hours. Even worse, they somehow get rolled into "Android System" when you're looking at your battery usage. Anyway, kill any services that are running and not using (Mobile IM, Skype, City ID, Music Downloader, etc.), and you'll see a huge difference is battery life the next day. I have anyway.

Juicedefender and set to 3g, unplugged at 7pm. It is now 3:45 ish and my battery just turned yellow. Moderate web browsing, and google+/facebook. If I did 4G and the same use I get 2 hours.

Thanks. I rooted and followed the steps listed in the forums for moving most of the bloatware to a folder on my SD card. It was just the past couple of days where my battery life has gone from almost all day use to a couple of hours before dead.

I've been running Juice Plotter for the past 18 hours or and according to their graph, my battery is discharging at the same rate that it charges. Sad.

Well, I figured it out. LIVEPROFILE. Was absolutely murdering my battery. Wasn't showing up in the battery settings as having any significant usage or percent. But as soon as I finally killed it, my standby battery usage went from 25% per hour to 3% per hour. Guess I'll just have to miss my blackberry for bbm again...

Thanks to the guys at juice defender for the diagnostic products.

I live in a 3g area but have traveled to a 4g area and with heavy use it drained battery faster. but that was not the only battery drain. I down loaded a battery monitor widget by 3c and started to find it's not the 3g/4g issue. I bought the sedio 3200 battery before going on vacation to orando, florida for a 2 week vacation. This is a 4G area. so after a couple charges on battery. we flew to florida. while in Disney alll day the battery lasted fine would have 40% or better after being unpluged for 12-15 hrs a day. but then 1 day an update for adobe flash was available so I down loaded it and with in several hrs. my battery was going dead fast. and had died within 8-10 hrs. after recharging I was checking the battery monitor and found that it was the adobe that was stil using most of battery after charge. my fix was I headed to apps and forced stopped and cleared data. no more fast drain. until I was back home in 3g and another app DJ rivals a game by Booyah, Inc did an update after the update the GPS was not only on as I leave it but was active every time I opened the home screen I observed the green GPS fix active first thinking it was just updating weather or other app. but again after seeing a big battery drain down to >15% in 8-10 hrs. I checked battery Monitor widget and fount that the game DJ riva after update was biggest drain for some unknown reason the game that uses GPS was active and all I did was the update on market I never even opened game after update. So again a force close and data clear fixed battery drain issue. Hope this helps!!!!

Thanks. I just installed LiveProfile and figured I'd try it again in a couple of months. </sigh>

ppl need to stop saying that battery life is better after the update because it's not for everyone. For some reason all our phones act different. Mine has never rebooted and battery life was great after update it sucks. ...
My battery went from great (off charge at 6:30AM, in the red and asking to be plugged in around 9:00PM) to a hell of a lot worse after the update! (off charge 6:30AM and wanting to be plugged back in at 2:30PM!) The update made things worse for the battery at least for me. In both instances (before and after update) I've had 4G turned off and left all services as is and I used my phone exactly the same before and after, no changes. I am beginning to hate this phone more and more with each update. I'm afraid to wonder what will happen to the phone when the GB update is released!
Do either of you have the My Verizon Data Usage widget enabled. When it continuously tries to connect and fails, that can also be one factor leading to worse battery life after the MR2 update.
