Bell S 2 HD LTE overheating and other issue

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE from Bell last night. First thing I did was plug it in and update to ICS. Some questions:

  1. The phone got blisteringly hot during the charge. Is this normal?
  2. After the update (it was successful), it does say 4.0.4 in the "About Phone" in Settings but the software does not have the ICS look and feel. By this I mean on an S3, for example, there is an icon with the 3 vertical dots on the top of each screen for the drop-down menus. This has not occurred on the S2 after the update. Should it have?

I must say the screen is absolutely spectacular, worlds better than the iPhone, if you ask me.

But I'm concerned about the above two issues and was wondering if anyone could comment.

Don't forget this is the HD LTE version of the S2, not the original S2.

Thanks!

It seems to be a constant problem with all of the phones. I have one and I can't use lte or it will overheat with use. Stuck at 4 . probably why at&t dropped the phone. It's pretty good otherwise.
