Benchmarks show Google Shamu as Snapdragon 805-powered, 5.2" 1440

But of course you can't provide any actual evidence of this, right? Not even a blurry, out of focus photo. Yawn.
Hey, it's your choice to believe me or not.

When I have free time, I give updates. I don't have time to just blatantly troll people.

Man, people really get bent out of shape when Happasaiyan reports/says something that they don't like. Personally, I say keep them coming!

me too! I believe that he has insider info and even if I am wrong, who cares we will find out soon enough. Like I said before, first world problems.

If he's wrong, he disappears and we all have a laugh over how well he trolled us. If he's right, we can thank him for keeping us excited about upcoming phones. Win-win.

Let's not forget this is like the holy grail of rumors. We're not just talking Nexus rumors.. We're talking Moto Nexus on Verizon rumors...

Historically -

Nexus 4 is in the 4 inch range.
Nexus 5 is in the 5 inch range.
Both Nexus 7s are in the 7 inch range.
Nexus 10 is in the 10 inch range.

True- Google can call it whatever they want. But based on history, a 5.2 inch Nexus should be called Nexus 5.

Um, no. It works that way for tablets, sort of, but not phones. The Nexus One = 3.7"...called the One because it's the first. Nexus S...4" screen....called the S because it's Samsung (and based on Galaxy S). Galaxy Nexus...4.7" ...again made by Samsung and off of Galaxy 2/3. Nexus 4...4.7" display...it's the fourth Nexus phone. Nexus 5...4.95" display...it's the fifth Nexus phone. I'm not saying I know what they'll call it, but you can see it's not based on the display size or necessarily the order either.

Verizon already had a Nexus. And yes the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon is still a Nexus.

yes, but after that, verizon steadfastly refused to work with google to allow another nexus on verizon's network and tried to block even the nexus 7. The moto x dev ed was the next best thing to a nexus so that is why so many of us have them.

So this is very exciting if true.

When we're talking about Nexus devices.... I just want to point out that I posted these on the forums, in G+ and on Twitter on May 10th:

I had one and I know. Just saying people get extra emotional about this stuff.

This could be the phone we are waiting for. If the display is not gray and washed out like the G3, it could get a lot of attention. I kind of think this is Lenovo's first splash with a Moto phone and they want to make it count. We'll see.

It's not uncommon for phones to be in development for 18 months. Plus Lenovo doesn't yet own Motorola

It seems like the device pipeline has been slimmed down quite a bit for the market to be more responsive, partly due to many of them using cookie cutter parts and competing on specialization. That said, those specialized items and some components are obviously in production for much longer.

The part about Lenovo is spot on. I have no idea why anyone thinks Motorola Mobility is part of Lenovo now. I think it's probably going to happen pretty soon - there are clues in the executive leadership shakeup and very recently "a Google Company" stopped appearing on the Motorola logo on their website.

Given all the other evidence of a 5.2" phone, I choose not to. I don't doubt moto is working on a 6" phone, but I think the likelihood that this is the Nexus is pretty slim. There are rumors of a Moto S with a screen that size.
