Benchmarks?

Any idea when we're going to start seeing benchmarks for this?

Time is of the essence for me. When it becomes available, I'll be at the tail end of my Note 10.1 return period (Best Buy). I have the Note because the Infinity that I originally bought frustrated the hell out of me due to its incredibly slow storage causing annoying sluggishness.

The Note is far more responsive, but the screen is obviously nowhere near as good.

I'm hoping that the Nexus 10 will give me the good screen with responsive performance, but obviously I don't know that until the benchmarks are out. The fact that it's Samsung-manufactured does give me hope!

If someone could run Androbench on it when they get their hands on one, that would be awesome.

If it turns out that this *is* the tablet I really want, I'll return my Note forthwith (so I don't damage it in the meantime) and wait patiently for the Nexus' availability.

You don't think review sites will get them a bit earlier? I though that's what usually happened with things like this, but obviously I'm no expert.

usually on the google event the tech sites will do a review but it was unfortunately cancelled.

Most of the site(Engadget,verge etc) who did a review, did it from Google HQ and they never got the device with them.

Numbers from AndroBench very clearly reflected my real-world use experience with the TF700 (when compared to the GS3, Skyrocket, and Toshiba Thrive), and properly predicted how "real-world responsive" the Note 10.1 would be in comparison. So yes, a similar benchmark for the Nexus 10 would be very telling for me.

Having said all that, I'm certainly not someone who obsessively runs benchmarks on everything I ever buy. I care about how well it runs in actual practice (or real-world, as you say). I have no concerns about the CPU or graphics performance of the Nexus 10 from the videos I've seen. I'm interested specifically in AndroBench this time because I don't want to end up with another TF700, and don't want to return my Note if that's what the Nexus 10 would end up being.
