Bent Kickstand

I'm not sure if insurance cover that. If so, replace that way. Otherwise, bend it back or let it be.

VZW reps won't be able to exchange it under warranty for that, nor will they be able to fix it better than you.

Pictures please! :D

Sorry, but I'm very interested in seeing it. And as others have said, insurance is the best route.

How do you bend it? Was it fully "open" when you slammed down on the phone? :dunno:

I was laying on a like a beach chair thing in the backyard listening to music with the kickstand open and when I stood up it got stuck on the chair and bent back. :(

** And if you had to pay for insurance when you bought the phone I don't have it cuse I never get insurance on anything I buy.

easy fix, use a cloth and needle nose pliers. start from the end where it attaches and work your way towards the open end using light downward pressure till you get to the end. If you have insurance turn it in get a refurb.

Do this at your own risk^^^^^^^^^

That's exactly what my plan was but just seeing if there is any other options.

if you want to go through insurance, Asurion is having open enrollment until May 13. try calling customer service to add it to your account. then wait a day or two, then file a claim.

I bent mine a few weeks ago when I dropped it off the ledge where I charge it with the kickstand open, and the kickstand hit a ledge on the way down. Just didn't lay flush after. I debated taking it back since there was no obvious damage, but a little creative gentle "rebending" did the trick. If you look really really close you can see a slight wave to it, but it's fine esp with a case. Note that only the metal was bent, no damage to the case.

FWIW, I used a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in electrical tape to wedge in the base to help hold it tight while rebending it.

Yikes I am never opening my kick stand. These are some horror stories.

Although when I use the phone without a case I seem to brush up and feel movement from my fingers touching the kick stand. Very annoying.

Did anybody else get the image of that Family Guy episode as soon as you seen this topic? "Oww your bending it" LOL....

On like a scale of 1-10 difficulty wise how hard is to pull apart the phone and replace it and is anything likely to get damaged in the process ?

36 unless you are Asian.
