I currently have and use the Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 charger which I got from Amazon for $16 but for some reason whenever I use it my phone gets pretty hot even i am not using it while its charging and I am starting to think that the charger might be the cause of it which might make sense.
So I would like to know what is a good Quick Charger for the LG G4 which doesn't turn the phone hot while charging it regardless of use or not while charging please provide info and a link to order!
Thanks

The charger merely provides volts and amps to the phone. Charging the battery generates heat.

I would expect that any QC 2.0 charger providing the same input to the phone would probably make the phone heat up the same way.

Charging slower will keep the phone cooler. Do note that as the phone warms up, the phone will probably reduce the charge current to manage the temperature, if it behaves like mine did with the stock charger.

Ampere will show charge current. Battery Monitor Widget will also, and also graphs, logs, and records data when the screen is off (with Ampere, you need to be viewing the app).

Yeah with the power running through the battery I'd assume it'd get hot. Kind of like a car charger with higher wattage

I got the Tenergy off Amazon. Charges the G4 from 0% to 100% in 1h 40m. Not as good as the S6 but I'm charging that overnight so what do I care if it takes 15 minutes more? It's still very fast and the phone doesn't overheat.

Best Buy has a Platinum QC 2.0 travel charger with folding prongs for $25. Pricier but very nice looking and gets great reviews.

I'm still waiting for a dual-USB QC 2.0 charger with folding prongs for under $20. When it happens, I'm all over it.

If I use my phone while on the charger then it gets very hot otherwise it gets warm occasionally

Sent using my Verizon Turbo charged 64GB Ballistic Nylon phone unfortunately with a case on back

Don't think it matters which charger you use, it doesn't charge as fast as the Note 4 or S6. I use my Note 4 charger at home and a certified QC2.0 car charger, and they're both slow. There was a thread someone put together, the charging of the battery is effected by the temperature. Something about if the phone is running hot, it charges much slower.

I've been using the GetWow QC with great results. I also purchase a GetWow QC for the car as well and it also works very well.

I use Samsung QC from Note Edge and S6 phones. I keep the phone off and it charges from 8% to 100% in a bit over an hour.

I have this same charger and use it at work daily -- No issues with overheating. As said in the other thread I believe you may have a faulty unit as yours is heating up a lot even when not charging. Have you tried a factory reset?

I have the Tenergy charger and have had no heat issues. I can feel a little warmth thru the leather back when it's charging but nothing crazy.

I have the ZeroLemon charger coming in a few days so I'll throw up a review of it.

I powered my phone off one time to recharge as quickly as possible with my stock LG charger. It went from 20% to 87%, I think, in about 65 minutes as I recall. I was impressed by the speed. Admittedly, that's not a very practical way to charge during the day, but it helped me out when I needed it.

The difference is that the note 4 can do 0-50% in about 30 minutes. The g4 goes 0-35% in the same time. For me, 0-70% is much more important than 0 to 100.

If your phone is charging 1% per minute then it's not quick charging (2.0), that's the regular charging rate for the charger that came in the box as well.

I've been searching for an answer to this question as well but I suppose only LG can give us the answers we need at this point. So far I've tried the ANKER wall charger and Aukey car chargers and they charger faster than 1% per minute, the Choetech I got didn't charge faster than stock charger.

How do you get Note 4 charger to work, my g4 just says can't use this charger and it stops charging it..
