What is the best and stable 2.2 rom out right now? I'm running stock 2.2 right now at 900 MHz. Any ideas guys?

Its hard to say. Each phone is somewhat different. Onyx works best for me but other people say their favorite is BB or kangerade. My recommendation is to try out afew different ones and see which one seems beyer for you. Make a back up first though

Each phone is somewhat different.
^ This. Bugless Beast 0.2.1 has been rock solid for me, but that obviously hasn't been everyone's experience with it if you look around.

"Best" is always highly subjective regardless of topic anyway. Care to qualify what you specifically mean?

yeah, best for me may not necessarily be the best for you or the guy down the street. I'm experiencing such great performance and battery life with Jrummy's Kangerade froyo rom running at 800MHz that I'm scared to update to the new version. lol. It hasn't bogged down or misbehaved any for me but others report nothing but issues. Just try Bugless Beast, Kangerade and Onyx for maybe a couple days each and I'm sure you're bound to find one that runs great for you.

i agree try out a few different ones i've tried jrummy's and BB and they gave me some probs but tried out onix and it has been awesome so its all up to you

Onix is my ROM until we get a source build from 2.2. It has been solid with no issues at all. Battery life is good and temp has been good with P3 kernel 7slot LV with 125mHz bottom end.

Believe me when I say I've tried them all, lol. My droid is about wore out lol..

Just try them and stick with whichever one works the best for your taste. For the last week, I have been using Chevy's Simply Stunning. Came from CM, and previously BB.

Thanks guys. I tried BB and onix and simply stunning. I think simply stunning is the one that's working best for me. BB messed with my phone really bad and made it soo slow but this one is pretty snappy.

I've used BB and JRummy and right now I'm downloading Onix. My biggest complaint with BB was the reboot key combinations. I couldn't delete them and I'd end up restarting my phone accidentally soooo many times.

I switched to Kangerade V1.0 and I find it a little faster and more responsive than BB 0.2.1 which worked well itself. Right now I'm using jdlfg's 1.2GHz kernel and battery life is pretty good - better than what I was getting with BB.

I agree with Brett about trying out different roms. For a 2.2 based ROM, I personally like BB v0.3. It was easy to install, it performs well and the problems I had with earlier versions have been addressed.

I'm on ChevyNo1's Simply Stunning 4.2, and it is very good and stable. Couldn't run Bugless Beast, very laggy for me.

What developer is Onix/Onyx? And is it available in Rom Manager?

Edit: NVM, I found Onix in RM. :)

Switched to the new BB v0.3 build earlier and so far the only difference I notice is a very slight increase in responsiveness. I'm tired of switching back and forth through ROMs for now so I think I'll stick with Pete's releases again.

This has been my favorite and stabe combo of all things so far, this might be a pointless post but im bored, post your golden codes!

1. JRummys Froyo Kangerade V1.1 customizer with chevy lowV 1.25, strawberry (red) theme, removed apps like facebook and twitter
2. The Kangerade fix
3. The LauncherPro red theme
4. The MinFreeManager app set to aggressive
5. The Droid X launcher
6. The Froyo Clock & Notification Changer to red with no clock(this gives you the black notification bar back and i like to remove the clock because i use beautiful widgets for time)

i keep my cpu set to 900 just because i like it nice and quick

i had the droid x live wallpaper but it really made my phone lag like crazy so settled for the static droid x, also downloaded the droid x sounds, they're pretty cool

I was at bugless beast v1.1, then I went to stock rooted 2.2, then went to bugless beast 0.3 (2.2) and I had crazy random restarts and other weirdness, so I went to ultimate droid froyo beta and had similar issues with restarts, so I jumped to cyanogen 5.0.8 and still had restarts, so I tried kangerade and still couldn't make it through a day without random reboots and pulling my phone out of my pocket only to find the screen dead and non responsive. Finally switched to bugless beast 0.4 (with frf84b) and it is GREAT!! Not a single restart all day and no other oddities. This should definitely be able to hold me over until the DX.

the new unofficial official F84B with redline theme. Man this thing is the truth. everything working no force closes at all. maps even working flawlessly.

if you havent updated to this ur missing out. im clocked at 800mHz and its running faster then what i was overclocked on 1100 with jrummys. like that one aswell.

but man oh man im in love
