Best Android Wear to buy in 2018?

I FINALLY bought a watch. I got the original Huawei Watch. In the end the screen is what won me over (both in size and quality). It's got the new 2.0 Oreo update so I'm good there. I'm just hoping for continued support. We'll see how it goes.
I actually MUCH preferred Wear 1 to Wear 2.

I found it easier. Could control most functions from phone. Now struggle controlling everything from watch itself.

Android Wear (or Wear OS now) 1.5 was very smooth & stable. Wear 2.0 has been buggier than an ant hill. Google is slowly working on the bugs with Wear OS app Updates, but it's been a slow process. Don't expect many actual Updates that run on your watch. Google changed that and most all Updates come through the Wear OS app now. You update the app on your phone then update the same app on your watch when prompted.

Is Ticwatch S pure Android Wear 2 or some kind of hybrid os? I've read conflicting reviews.

LG Stylewatch also has conflicting reviews. One called it the best Android Wear there is. Another cited terrible battery life and rated it 6 out of 10.

I just want pure Google Watch Android Wear 2 with max brightness with ambient light sensor and auto brightness that works.

It's pure! The first ticwatch was some hybrid

I don't believe it does. I haven't heard great things about the screen in direct daylight.

Huawei Watch, Huawei Watch 2 would be in that category. The LG's too I would think.
First spec given should be max brightness. A small ambient lit panel just for time would be a great addition. Thrn in bright light you could still see time at least.

I know it's an older model and the "flat tire" turns off a lot of people, but my Moto 360 Gen 2 has always been really good to see in direct sunlight.

Just got my original Huawei Watch. Though it's set up I haven't played around with it much yet. Build quality and screen are awesome though. Really impressed.
