I had SMARTACTIONS on my old RAZR MAXX but it is not compatible with the Moto X. What is the best way to turn on wi-fi when I am in my office or at home and have it turned off the rest of the time?

Tasker might be a good app for that. It is like 4 or 5 bucks in Play.

Take a look at the app Trigger. It's less comprehensive than Tasker, but looks much simpler to set up.

Trigger does some things for free, but location triggers require an upgrade to Pro, which is $2.99 or a 7 day free trial.
