Hi Guys and Gals, I am new to the forum and hopefully a new GN2 owner soon. I have read quite a few posts on transferring upgrades off of an unlimited line to a dumbphone line to get the note 2 then switching back without losing unlimited . I need to do something similar and read where you can do this with Verizon on line and at the corporate store .My question is has anyone done this type of thing at Best buy or Lets talk? Lets talk has the GN2 for $199 right now ! Thanks for your help

The salesperson at Best Buy told me it is possible to transfer an upgrade at a Best Buy store. The only thing they cannot do is NOT activate the new phone. For example, I wanted to pick up the GN2 using my fiance's upgrade, but couldn't do it because she was not with me at the time. Had I completed the purchase, it would have automatically activated the new phone.

Verizon Factory stores give you the option to upgrade a phone, but not activate it at the time of purchase.

I think lets talk has a seperate etf for data. You cant change anythung on that line for 180 days or you pay a etf fee to them. I know amazon has this. Just check fine print to be sure.

I know lets talk has the 180 day etf. I have also read where some were successful getting best buy to price match.

Best Buy did the whole thing for me, but I think it was because I was helped by an extraordinary salesperson. I walked in with a Droid Charge, walked out with a GN2 with unlimited data on the same phone number, and my wife's dumb phone on her same phone number. Completely painless, and took less than a half-hour.

Sat next to a 70-year-old man doing the same thing. His 95-year-old father was noodling on his iPhone.

Yes, I would like to transfer my unlimited upgrade to my wife's line, Order the GN2, Then give her my Maxx and put the GN2 back on my unlimited . I guess I just need to go talk to best buy.

Success! Went to Best buy and got the Note 2 for 199.00 . The salesperson never heard of "Let's Talk" but she looked it up and got the manager to look at it .At first he said we only price match brick and mortar stores and Amazon.com I said would be willing to pay $199 plus tax he called another mgr who said to "meet him half way" and then said "Just let him have it for $199 Whoo Hooo ! This phone is Awesome!
