Today I went to a Best Buy in a town next to mine looking for a job XD, but while that was the main purpose i also checked some things out concerning the Evo. Now i've seen in many other forums that best buy's employees are as discredited as they can get, but here is what i got from one of the best buy mobile salesperson and a Manager:
I asked if the extra $10 dollars fee would apply here where i live (Puerto Rico) because there is no sign of 4g coming here even before the world ends, heck even the 3g coverage is very limited. To that she (bb mobile person) answered that the fee will not be applicable here because there is no 4g coverage. Then i asked the same thing to the manager and he answered the same thing, both of them reassured me that they were right. If that really is the case then i suppose it should be the same for all of you North Americans that still don't have a 4g service.
Also, maybe it wasn't an important question to u guys but for me it was, the question was if the Evo would be locked to a specific plan (e.g. like the Instinct) or it would be open to family plans and the like, the answer was that at the moment they haven't received notification of it being locked to a plan, so they are assuming that its open for all plans, which i hope is right.
Obviously it remains to be seen whether this is true until the Evo is launched.
Lastly, I don't know if this was already done and over with but i thought i might share anyways.

Sorry i didn't make myself clear, when i mentioned that it was open for all plans i was referring to everything data plan, which includes the family everything data plans etc. thus the samsung instinct reference. The first instinct was only available with a Simply Everything plan, no family plans, nothing.
