I just saw on Verizon's site the S8 is now an annual upgrade eligible phone which means you only have to pay off 50% to get a different phone. Best Buy's site doesn't show this where I pre ordered. Anyone have experience with past annual eligible phones if we'll still have the same terms. Thinking if not the $50 off isn't so appealing.

Based on the terms for the S7, it doesn't specify where you buy it from. Just has to have been purchased and activated on a DPP during a certain period. So we should be eligible

Just a data point. One of the s7 edges on a dpp was bought at best buy and is eligible to be traded in, but only to Verizon. I couldn't use that to upgrade at Verizon.
