Today I tried pre-ordering a Sprint LG G2 from the Best Buy website (it's $100 cheaper than pre-ordering from sprint, for existing upgrade - don't ask me why this is, but it is - and then it is supposed to come with a $50 gift card as the equivalent of th sprint offer of a free window case); According to the second person I spoke with at Best Buy, Best Buy is apparently having a software glitch that is causing these pre-orders to be canceled because the phones are not in stock (which is what is supposed to be the case for a pre-order!).
My credit card company confirms that they tried to put the order through twice (charges approved both times - the first BB person told me the issue was with the credit card company).
The proposed solution? I should go to their brick-and-mortar store to put in the order. While I will do this (the price, after all, is right), I have to say that it's frustrating having to make three phone calls after trying to place an on-line order - and then having to wait until I get home tonight to actually place the order (sales taxes are higher where I work). And then I am going to have to make sure everything else is actually canceled on the credit card.
Is anyone else having issues with Best Buy pre-orders?
