Best Buy Pre-Order Thread

I still haven't seen any movement from pre-order status getting a little concerned being that it's Tuesday in the evening. Really hoping to see something going on by tomorrow morning given were supposed to have delivery by Friday. I'm not even sure how Best Buy ships. When I did the pre-order I didn't see any options for changing or Expediting or seeing what method of shipping the offer. When I login it says I am a Best Buy Elite customer but I don't know if that means anything lol

Didn't even have it in my mind it might come early. BB sent me an email yesterday that it is expected tomorrow (pleasantly surprised) and then I went to status and it said the same thing. Waiting to see what happens tomorrow.

Surprised to see some saying they recieved an email from BB saying delivery for tomorrow. I've never known them to ship early before. I have not received any communication from BB at all my order still says In Process. However, I wasn't expecting an early delivery. But it would be nice. It does state a signature is required, so I'm thinking it will come FedEx, since in one of the other threads some were shipped through UPS and didn't require a signature.

I've done in-store pickup before but never was able to get it early then either. Best of luck to you! Post pictures of the phone once you receive!

I just checked my order, and it says preparing for pickup tomorrow. I ordered an unlocked S20 plus in black, hopefully I can get after work.

Unfortunately that happens every year and then people are told they have to wait until release day to get the phone. I've only known of BB customers recieving phone early when it's shipped to their home.

Samsung approved Best Buy to sell the phones by moving street release date forward. You should be able to pick up the phone directly from Samsung tomorrow if you have a Samsung Experience Store near by.

Samsung has approved early release in the past and best buy still waited till release date to send them or pick up. Their customers were beyond mad when every carrier was sending the phones out and best buy said no.

I probably will go direct next time if I preorder vs pick up. I like Best Buy and purchase from there often with store pick ups but with preorder phones I'd much rather "gambke" for getting it 1 to 2 days early.

Well best buy is doing some early this time around. I haven't heard anything about mine, but I ordered the Verizon ultra 512, and I'm thinking that is going to go be in short supply. My direct unlocked 128 will be here today, so if I don't hear from best buy soon I'm cancelling their order, if both show up, I have a decision to make which one to keep

I was considering canceling the pre-order if this sucker doesn't move by this evening and just picking up in store with an order online pickup same time that way Friday but I don't know what kind of quantities stores are going to get. The good thing is where I work during the day between that town and my hometown there are three Best Buy stores so I have some options as far as inventory levels. I wouldn't set foot in a Sprint store though LOL I avoid them like the plague

My card was just charged for both my orders. At least there is some movement, and they should be here Friday.

Finally I checked just after 12 p.m. and my status has changed to getting it ready and shows delivery by Friday I still don't see any tracking info on the carrier site yet

They are getting ready at my local Best Buy for the launch.
