Best Buy shipment delayed until 11 / 26?

For what it's worth, when I went into BB last week to clarify the $200 trade-in terms, I was told by the mobile associate that the reason why the POS system was being changed so the promotional credit couldn't be used towards the purchase price of the phone was because the carriers were upset at BB undercutting their pricing.

While I'm not prone to conspiracy theories, I can also totally see Big Red playing inventory games to limit the number of customers taking advantage of this offer.

I'm being offered a $300 trade in value for the Note 5. I'm not sure why they're not advertising it, but
if you have a handful of later model androids you get the $300. Final price $372 after credits.

depending on the shape your Note 5 is in, and if you have extras (cases/chargers, etc.) you could get more for it on eBay, assuming it's the 64GB model.

Looks like the Verizon website says the Silver model not available until 11/15. Titan still shows in stock. The number of stores showing in store availability appears less than last time I checked over the weekend, so demand must be up.

Both models are back in stock at Verizon's site as of right now. Hopefully Best Buy will be getting a shipment in soon. It's now been a week since it was advertised as being available and no one at Best Buy seems to be able to give any estimation of when they'll be in stock.

BB is taking my G1 for the $200 and listed on my account. Catch is the deal will probably be over whenever Verizon decides to allocate BB devices. Irony!

My local BB still does not have the V20 in stock today is 4 Nov. I've pretty much given up on them getting them in stock before my 14 day window is up next week with my Note 7 replacement S7 Edge. Really wanted the $200 gift card deal oh well. I even posted a rant on the review part on their site of the V20 about them not having them in stock but had them in their sales ad and it wasn't posted.

Turn it in on day 14 and go with out a phone for a few , its a real awakening how addicted we are to data , I did 10 days no cell!

I've been checking almost daily and just checked now. Your system hasn't changed its status. We're also running out of time to receive the new B&O earbuds from LG if we purchase the V20 by their deadline. This isn't the first time I've tried to upgrade using Best But and it's not working out. It's the THIRD time something has gone wrong at the company's end (not Verizon). For being one of the largest retailers of electronics in the USA, we deserve to know the details of your problem. BB, saying it's out of your control is nice for those who don't know better and ask few questions. If I used that excuse in my business, I'd have a mass exodus of clients and word would get out that it's likely ME that's not reliable. I've made sure that's never happened. It would be a sign of respect to share what's causing the delay. You want our business? You want our trust? Earn it. I'd like to hand over my money to you for my next phone upgrade but being treated with a patronizing response it not going to cut it. Checking your website every day is becoming too much work and the store employees at your location near me is not working out either. They've seen many customers head over to a VZW corporate store to get their new V20. Show you care, please share.

In addition to whatever a carrier offers, Best Buy is adding a $200 BB gift card to sweeten the deal.

To be fair, I'm not convinced this is BB's problem or that there's anything they can do about it. As far as I can tell, no one that pre-ordered has actually received theirs and none of my local stores have gotten any of the VZW models in (they do have plenty of the AT&T and Sprint variants, however).

While I plead ignorance on how the carrier>vendor>retail relationship works in terms of inventory and pricing, I suspect the overall demand for the VZW v20 was underestimated by all parties and I wouldn't be surprised if the carriers get inventory priority over retail in cases of shortages. I also believe VZW isn't happy about BB's $200 giftcard promotion and is further pressuring LG to steer units away from them.

Agree, agree, but the man just wants an HONEST answer. I'm the OP, and that's all that I wanted, although I eventually cancelled and bought directly from Verizon. I was flat-out lied to... <Don't worry, Julie... your order has shipped! your order has shipped!>

Then, when I was finally told the truth, there was no meaningful answer as to when I might actually get one...

Just tell people the truth and you'll get a lot of understanding. Lie to people and you won't. Patronize/blow people off and you won't... that's what is happening here.

Best Buy is bad a presales guys. Just terrible. I'm also buying the hot new drone from DJI, the Mavic Pro. Has been backordered and delayed 3 weeks.
But Best Buy was taking orders 2 weeks ago, with shipping guaranteed by 10/31. Then, a few days before, all the orders from Best Buy had their ship date pushed back by 30 days to November 30 automatically! Some people even talked to Best Buy on the phone and were assured their drone was in inventory and would ship right away!

Same story here.
