Did you buy your phone from Best Buy? I don't think it would be a good idea to trade in your S7 for the Edge, but you could possibly exchange them for a fair trade. I checked the trade in value for the S6 (I used mine for example: 64GB, white, Verizon), and the range of conditions extended from 'Good', 'Fair', and 'Broken'. Even with the highest condition selected, they only offered me less than $200. I'm sure you would get more, but you would probably have to take it into the store physically and let them determine the value of your phone.

Your best bet is to sell the S7 and use the money towards the S7 Edge. Although it's a new device, you won't get the same price you would if it was sold.
