Its a clever little bit of processing that does its thing without exposure bracketing (which everyone assumes it does). Neat stuff.

Actually, the Nexus 5X and 6P have better or same camera quality than the S7 and S7edge.
I'll tell you one thing, once I figured out how to and learned how to use manual exposure, the Google camera app takes excellent pictures.
Quite easily actually. Using the new Google camera app, go into camera settings, advanced, turn manual exposure on. Then you're done. Now your viewfinder you'll see a plus, and minus option for toggling manual exposure. Have fun. It works pretty well. I hope this helps you out.How do you do this using the stock camera app?

Yeah surely. Now for some reason when I had my Nexus 6, I didn't have the manual exposure option whatsoever which was very annoying. You might also notice that with the exposure settings on the highest setting, and forcing HDR mode on, the. Turning the flash off, you'll get more natural looking pictures. I didn't believe that at first, until I went to take a picture last night with the flash in, and it worked out really well and looked really good.Awesome! Thanks for the tip.

I have the newest latest one found in marshmallow and Android Nougat.I must be missing something, I don't see any advanced settings option in the stock camera app. What version of Google camera do you have?

You should be able to do into advanced camera settings for manual exposure to turn it on.Hmmm, okay, I'll check if there is an update, might need to side load it. I'm still using M.
