+1 for the Elago slim fit case. I tend to be very picky about cases and prefer minimal cases with little branding.

I'm using Elago G5 slim fit case for S3 and very happy with it. Super slim hard case, fits perfectly, easy to slip off and on, and under $10. Tons of color and texture option.

Also helps me with my hand position on the phone so I don't accidentally press the volume button when pressing the power button. I had this problem with the jelly case I had before this. (Maybe that was just my own hand issue.. but nonetheless, I like the additional benefit)

Good option under $10 if you are looking for a slim case.

I have the OB Commuter. I like the slimmer profile. The biggest issues are the fact that it's pretty damn slippery! It is also hard to press the power button & volume, and getting it in and out of the case is a chore...which if I get the dock, I would nee dit out of the case.

If you finesse the power button and volume rocker until you hear a slight click, it will be less difficult to push. Had mine a week before changing to the Defender and the play in the buttons got better. While a slimmer profile, it is not by much versus the Defender which is easier to remove. Since I don't use it as a clock, have no use for a dock which is another way to spend money on accessories. Please see the review that I posted in the AT&T accessories forum to see how much more bulk the Defender adds.

I ordered a couple "cheapies" on monoprice.com, but they are both great cases. I couldn't decide if I wanted a clear Polycarbonite or a white TPU, so I ordered them both (under $4 each, under $10 total with shipping). They both arrived on Saturday, not a moment too soon because I wanted a little protection and if nothing else a better grip for a weekend of boating and partying.

The clear case: For only $2.70 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Air Case for Samsung Galaxy SIII -Clear | Samsung very thin, but barely sticks past the front so offers little front protection for setting face-down. Not quite thick enough to protect the camera lense when setting on its back. But it's a very thin, well-fitting case, and is perfectly clear so you can barely see it and shows off the phone's natural beauty. It also has cutouts for the buttons, so doesn't offer much protection or prevention of accidentally pushing a button, but just offering a better grip on the phone helps to hit the buttons.

The white TPU case: For only $2.70 each when QTY 50+ purchased - TPU Case for Samsung Galaxy SIII -White | Samsung thin, flexible, and well-fitted. Offers a good grip and is just thick enough to protect the camera lens when setting on its back. Protrudes just enough from the front to protect the screen when setting face down, but is flexible enough that the "lip" moves out of the way temporarily when swiping all the way to the edge of the screen, but snaps back into place when you remove your finger. The buttons are covered, which I appreciate the added resistance on the buttons.

I decided to go with the TPU case for the weekend as I wanted the slightly better protection. I sure was glad I had it when I dropped it off a table onto a concrete patio on Saturday night (there may have been alcohol involved). I did not see exactly how the phone landed on the ground, but it was perfectly fine, the case wasn't even scuffed. And if it was, well they're $3 each...

I realize that's a pretty in-depth review for a couple cheapies that few will probably consider, but I wanted to make people aware of them because I think they are very comparable in quality to some of the other cases mentioned. No, they don't provide the protection of a rugged case or OB, but I already proved they can help a little. I still may end up getting a rugged case like an OB for high-risk occaisions, but will be sticking with the TPU for everyday use. And no, I don't work for monoprice.com, I'm just a big fan.

Brick on the hip that works versus a non-functioning brick. It's like auto insurance. You hope that you never need it. That first high level drop down a concrete stairway at work or somewhere else while you are in a hurry and the screen cracks or the phone is damaged needing a refurb or insurance replacement, the case is well worth it.

It happened to me yesterday, my S3 slipped through my jacket's pocket and hit the concrete floor face down. If not for OB Commuter on it, I am sure the screen would have cracked.

Believe me, handling a phone this size, you need something sturdy to protect your investment!

NICE!! Glad you like it! Yeah, I had a Diz too and now the Acase is my everyday case as well. I think I'll use the Diz only for formal events if I have to. I wouldn't of been so persistent in telling you guys how much this case was AWESOME if I didn't think it was good, lol!!

If I get a case for the i9300, will it still work or fit the SPH-L710? I'm getting the L710 and I had seen on different web site that the specs on the i9300 are different than the L710.

Currently, I have the OB Commuter. The comments on the power button and volume rocker being a little stiff are true but the amount of play increases with use. No accidental presses with this case. It has an adhesive screen protector.

I just received my OB Defender. Both cases add bulk. The screen protector is built-in and it has a holster.

Got my Commuter at Best Buy and the Defender on Amazon. Heard that the Defender is at some AT&T stores. You should be able to order from OB as I recently received an email that the Defender was available.
