I am a fan of minimalist cases. I have a Patchworks Flexguard which works great. I also bought couple of cheap Basstop cases - one black and one red. The Black one is so so but the red one is beautiful. I will include a picture shortly.

I ordered one from ebay as well, showed that it shipped from Sevierville, TN. I was going to try it for a bit but had difficulty getting the phone into it. Enough trouble that I stopped trying. I'm open to suggestions.

Are you sure it wasn't for the s8 plus maybe?

Odd. I've never heard of problems like this before with the imitation ones.

Nice and grippy all around and the added bulk actually makes it easier for my big hands to hold. Loving it so far! Which holster are you using if I may ask? I'm using a Nite Ize Rugged Hard case holster in conjunction with a Defender.

Pretty sure as the order info & packaging showed Note 8. I'll check it again this evening.

We're just getting Notes on Monday and I am reading this thread from the beginning. We always used to use Sedio than one year Otterbox came out 1st and commuter was my favorite until Symmetry came out and I love the one I use now on my 7 edge. Not many cute design for the Note 8 from Symmetry or a color I like on Commuter so how is UAG? I may google them. I found a Symmetry color I kind of like but for the note 8 people say it's not as good I'm reading mixed reviews. Wonder if anyone has a Symmetry with the Note 8 on here? I may try the rugged one with Kickstand from Samsung. I'm worried cause of having such an expensive phone. I'm usually very careful but still.

My husband had a defender before and liked it. Do you like the one for the Note? I may get him that one. I saw a purple one but I think I'll do Symmetry.

So this gives good protection and you can lay your phone down with the screen like on a table and it's ok. And what screen protector do you use? I love that case and am looking at it on Amazon now. Sorry you may see 2 replies I don't see where my 1st one went through.

Sorry to hear that. Guess I've been lucky with my eBay cases. I have OEM OtterBox and knockoffs and I actually find them challenging to snap together, but once they're on, the fit is spot on for both. Good luck with whatever case you settle on. My 2nd choice of cases are the UAG line (excellent past experience with previous Note phones). I may purchase one down the line when I'm tied of my Faux OtterBox case.
 
I was just at Wal-mart and they now have the Defender case for the Note 8. $49. Sams is $44 I think. Both cheaper than what Amazon sells it for right now. If you want a Defender and planned on ordering it you should checkout the knock off ones for $15 on Amazon.
 
Hello can you tell me a good case with perfect grip?Back cover case...

I like very much apple silicone case I used with 7 plus but I can not find something like that for note 8...
