Doesn't matter what protocol it is behind the scenes, ios users send hd videos via text (text = mms for all intents and purposes).

Actually, text is SMS "for all intents and purposes" - on Android and Windows phones. (SMS and MMS are protocol specifications, not just synonyms for texting, and Apple doesn't use either protocol - iMessage is as different from MMS or SMS as a car is from a duck.) You can't just throw words around with no regard for what they mean if you actually intend to communicate. That's why we have language - a grunt can mean anything - "green" means the same thing to all English-speakers - definitely not the color of the normal sky. If you start using "red" to mean "blue", no one will know what you're talking about, and that's what you're doing - using "MMS" to mean "texting". MMS is this and only this.

As far as the cloud account, how fast any given one will work depends on your path to the server and the path to the server that the person downloading it has. I'm on the east coast of the US and Mega (in New Zealand) is pretty fast for me - no slower than Drive or Dropbox.
