Best Current Android Phone and Why

I'm still partial to the Dell STREAK. It is a 5" screen. HUGE! Granted, software support is probably the worst in the business, but from a hardware stand point it is probably the best.

Why does having a 5 inch screen make it the best hardware? Does it have a dual core processor? Does it have a gig of RAM? What type of screen does it have? QHD? SAMOLED Plus? Does it have a great camera?

I've never even heard the dell streak mentioned as the best phone on the market.

Maybe not the best...but i'm always gonna pull for the LG Optimus 2X or the G2X or whatever its called in the states. Dual Core, this thing is a beast and hopefully more tegrazone games will appear soon. I chose it over the SGS2 for 2 main reasons....price difference and size. The SGS2 was far too big for my hands it just didn't feel comfortable to use. The optimus is absolutely superb :)

AT&T: Inspire 4G
Sprint: Evo 3D
Verizon: Thunderbolt
T-Mo: Sensation

I guess I have a thing for HTC ;)

Wouldn't the Evo 3D actually have to be out to qualify?

At this point on Sprint, it's the Nexus S 4G with an honorable mention to the EVO.

So I am a Sprint customer and am disappointed that the Evo 3D turned out the way it did (huge shutter button, etc) and I am not looking forward to the Photon as Motorola just doesn't hold the best of memories... So is there anything else that is spec worthy of these phones to be released in the next two months for Sprint? Otherwise I am keeping my rooted Epic and spending the money on an Asus Transformer with keyboard.

Samsung GS2 would be the best imo if the MicroSD Memory Card was "hot-swappable". It seems all Samsung devices are non hot-swappable and when I called Samsung, they said (this is from an agent so who knows if it's entirely true) they were asked to do this by the carriers. ???

It's possible yeah. If you remove the MicroSD card without un-mounting the card you can corrupt the card, and the carrier gets a phone call from a frustrated customer who does not know what was wrong. They just know they lost their files. So yeah I can see carriers saying that.

Nexus S 4G is the best phone out. It is the only phone that I have ever had that I've enjoyed this much. Outside of the radios issue, I have found no weaknesses in this phone.

Sony Ericssin Xperia10
Stop That.Besides,I have a soft spot for SE and hope they learned their lesson after the X10 disaster.Would love to see the Xperia ARC in the US. But I also have to agree about SGS2.And since it has AT&T's HSPA+ bands you wouldn't have to worry about switching providers.

He asked what the best phone was.... ;)

Seems to me this is a thread meant to start wars...

I know the infuse isn't as huge as the streak, but its screen looks nicer and internally its a lot better.

Which is pretty much the opposite position I argue from when comparing my infuse vs. most of contenders for the throne (e.g., they say their phone's dual core processors, extra memory, data speeds etc are superior, and i'm left going "but the screen is huge...". well and pretty...)

I love my Nexus S 4G. Fast data, super smooth, 4" samoled screen with millions of colors is the sweet spot imo, almost 300mb of free ram and everything runs perfectly(super optimized), wicked easy to root and manipulate, form factor, pure gb and if I run at 1.4ghz, it is insanely fast. After having multiple other skinned android devices, the last being an evo4g, I dont want to use anything other than a Google device. Plus, I love my SGX540.
