best email app!

i have a ? whats the best email app for the charge i just got it and i had the dx i used K9 on that liked it alot!

I use K-9 as well. I stopped my gmail from syncing with my google account on my phone, it helped save my battery too since it was not always syncing

yeah good tip. If you don't use your GMAIL make sure it is set to manual and not syncing or pushing. I haven't gotten my charge yet (coming thursday) so I cant say how the stock email app is, but I love K9, so why not stick to what is good and what you are used to? The only reason I can see for using stock over K9 would be if it consistently uses less RAM, which could increase speed/phone responsiveness and battery life. However, I doubt it does

Sweet. I downloaded the K-9 mail, and think this is going to be a real winner.

I can't figure out why the GMAIL app doesn't have a sync frequency option.

Minor question...

Is there any way to make K-9 pop up a notification with how many NEW emails one has, instead of how many unread emails are in the account? I'm getting tired of a notification with a 2500+ on my notification window!

If not, so be it... I'll learn to deal with it.

Hmm... Yeah, I'll have to do a bit more playing with it as well.

I've noticed that my emails are being pushed to the phone instantly, even though I set my polling frequency to "Every 30 Minutes". I'd like to get this figured out, as it's the big advantage of this email app over the others, IMO.

My polling is set a little more spaced out than yours. I have mines set to every two hours. I haven't had a problem worth it syncing more frequently than it was supposed to.

that's weird. you may have (not a great fixer here) to go through all the emails on your phone. Maybe the app thinks these are all new. I've never had this problem, but this is the only thing I could assume it to be.

So i got k9 working the only problem is i have pop3 so the only folders it shows is inbox and trash so i wonder Will gmail be better as far as more folders? i don't know that to do help please!

Go in to settings and make sure the folders you want are on 1st class
