Anyone have any experience with external battery packs to recharge their phone? I have lots of 3 day trips in places where recharging my phone is impossible via a wall jack. I'm looking for something with a minimum of a charge equal to the phones oem battery and it's a bonus if it can recharge my ipod as well.

Here's three I found:
Amazon.com: Cinch Power 5000 mAh External Battery for HTC Evo 4G + Travel Adapter: Health & Personal Care
Amazon.com: High Capacity Rechargeable External Battery Pocket Charger for the HTC EVO 4G - uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology: Electronics
Amazon.com: I-Walk 5400mAh External Battery Pack for Ipod, Ipod Touch, Iphone…

The ones that sprint sell work very well and can be used to charge any device that can charge from a USB port (such as an ipod).

Here is a great one for you

Got a 5600mah Anker brand on Amazon, works great, has a flashlight built in, good quality, about $30. Small size also.

That's the same one I have it works really well and not only can it charge my phone but Nexus 7 as well.

Agree with barlala. I have one. It works well with my Galaxy S2. What is a bonus is that it is with 2 top-rated 2600mAh Samsung 18650 battery cells. There should be no problem.
