For me its the Scosche boomCAN! Just picked one up at fye after looking at a lot of alternatives in Apple Store and Best Buy...for the money $19.99 nothing else was as simple, sturdy and impressive.

Sounds great on nexus 7 and on wife's iPhone.

I have been using the X-Mini I picked up from Walgreens for $14.99 about 2 years ago. I have bought a few competitors like the Music Bullet and they all fall short or sound flat. I will look for the Scosche so i can compare it also but for the extra $5 i hope it out performs the X-Mini.

How is the battery life/charge times of the Scosche? The X-mini gets about 2 weeks standby or 8 hours play time and charges in about 30 mins.

Sounds best at mid volume...full blast distorts... check Amazon...I have seen there for $15.00. Battery is 7 hrs and you can charge off laptop and play off tablet or phone at same time.
