Got my phone few days ago. I am wondering what apps I should download to fulfill my Samsung experience. l hare downloaded the usual apps like whatapp and a few games. So I ask you, What are your top 5 apps

1. Maxthon Browser
2. Windroid (email app)
3. Waze (navigation)
4. Evernote
5. Pandora

This is in no particular order.

Personally, I prefer S-Note over Evernote just because of the S-Pen functionality.
The social 'basics' are all in my phone: Facebook, Twitter (I use Plume for this one), Instagram, Google+.
For photo editing I REALLY recommend you install Pixlr. I downloaded Sketchbook, CameraZoom FX, and Camera 360 but I really use Pixlr the most now. I also use PhotoGrid.
For music I use Spotify, but that's really up to which service (if any) you have. Jango and Songza are good when you don't know what you want to play (Songza makes playlists from your mood... so it's cool).
And of course, if you want to recognize music, Soundhound and/or Shazam are a must.

I am new to the GN2 but:
Aviary for photo editing and fx
Flixster for quick showtimes and movie reviews
IMDB for everything else movie related
Pandora for music, Spotify is an option as well and I also use Soundcloud but that eats up mobile data if you're streaming

ES File explorer for browsing files on your phone AND you can browse PC files through wifi without needing to install anything on your computer. I use this to watch movies on my phone that are on my PC.

Draw Something for an obvious S-Pen advantageous game
I'm also addicted to Arel Wars 2 but I dont know what kind of games you like.

ConvertPad - units conversion calculator
OI File Manager - I prefer this to all other file managers I've worked with.
Speed Test
Gas Buddy - helps find the cheapest fuel in your area
RealCalc, if you require an RPN calculator (I do)
DropBox
Podkicker - podcaster downloader and player

Let's stay away from discussing ways to pirate paid apps. Thread cleaned up.

Thanks.

For Maxthon Browser do you use the tablet ver or the phone ver for your Note?

What is needed to make an app a best app?
For me if an app requires too many permissions then it can not be a best app no matter what it does. On top of that the app must perform a given task quite well and make life a little better for me.

With that said some of my best apps (off the top of my head) are.
write
rotation lock adaptive (free)
talkatone
aircalc
cool reader
circle launcher
nova
power toggles
recent apps
kingsoft office
quickpic
there are many others

I have a lot of favorite apps ive used with y other phones
Pulse, circle launcher, HBO....But specificlly for my Note 2:
Direct Tv Sunday Ticket

Papyrus- the app is not as clean looking as S Note, but function wise its functionality is way better.

Snap Pad- I just discovered this 2 days ago and I cant believe Samsung didnt do this with S Note. This is the best "sticky note" replacement type app ive seen and used yet

Android sphere camera (installation instructions somewhere on this forum)
Google Voice
Strava Cycling
Our Groceries (shopping lists shared with wife)
Dolphin Browser
Twicca (twitter client)
Google Drive / Quick Office / Cloud Print (all related)
The Score (sports scores/updates)
Netflix / Chromecast
Pandora
Fios Mobile
Light Manager (configure the notification LED)
MX Player (media player)
Sound Manager (set sound levels by time of day, i.e., turn off all sounds at 10p, back on at 7a)
Alarm Clock Xtreme - I like the volume crescendo and max volume feature, many other config options, like disabling snooze, etc.
