Personally I use Koush's Test2 kernel. Great battery life, still very snappy. I don't feel the need to overclock so it works excellent for me.
Also the stock kernel in the nightly builds has been good to me as well recently
I tried them all...Kings, Ziggy, Koush, and stock CM. But by far the most stable, fast and smooth with above average battery life and no lag, hickups, freezes or reboots during my 99 hrs of use with OC @ 1.152 is... in your sig the Invisiblek #16. I was not going to flash because I wanted to see how long I can go before the kernel bugs out or what not but the XDA guys had a bootable Gingerbread that I just have to try.
