I use both Swift key and Gboard and both work great with no issues at all I would say I prefer Swift key over Gboard. The stock keyboard is also nice very surprised on how well Samsung laid this phone out.
Yeah you're right. The stock Samsung keyboard isn't terrible shockingly. I am still using SwiftKey keyboard overall very nice keyboard and not as bad of a battery drainer as I had initially thought it would be.
Samsung could make things interesting with roll out phone
