Best Messaging App

Textra is nice and fluid. Plus it has ALL the latest emojis. iPhone users are speechless!!!

Is there an app that someone can suggest that I could download on my laptop also, that would provide seamless texting regardless of which device I am on- laptop or phone?

NO, it does not. I need it to send a text every night at 11pm - and it can't be set up to do that.

However, you can get apps that do ONLY that if you want, and I'm trying that right now. Textra in concert with an app called (strangely enough) "SMS Scheduler".
Just curious why you'd send the same text at the same time every night. Is it a reminder?

Also, tasker should be able to do that pretty easy if a combo approach is an option. Not sure if IFTTT would do the same or not.

Pulse is a great choice. It has web app but also a chrome extension and a dedicated Chrome app

I recommend the App Yappy, I use Chomp SMS and Yappy and that is a great combo!

For texting through my android phone from multiple other devices (PC, Mac and tablets) I tried Yappy and MightyText among others but none were without their issues. Be it random sync issues or delays in receiving texts, battery drain or just no receiving random texts on other devices at all.

I'm currently on Pulse SMS and liking it the best. Seems the most responsive and trouble free with minimal battery impact. I did go through a spat where I had to completely reset my account in order to regain notifications on my Wear 2.0 device but once I went through that things have been golden again.

Recommend checking out Pulse SMS if texting from other devices is something one wants.

I use Google Messages. If Allo had full SMS/MMS support I would use it. I like Allo, but damn Google, it needs real SMS support.

Shoot I was off Android when Allo came out and still don't know exactly what it's supposed to be.
