I've had my S7 Edge for a while now and it's getting close to the time to replace it. I've been pleased with most aspects of the phone but one thing has been really, really annoying. I have a Plantronics Voyager 5200 headset and almost every time I receive a call The headset is dropped, switching me to the builtin speakers and mic. I have to dig the phone out of my holster, open Bluetooth settings and reconnect in order to switch back to the headset. This is especially troubling while driving, after all the headset is on my ear in order to provide hands free, and having to handle the phone is by definition not hands free.
So, are there other brands of phone that do Bluetooth well enough for me to use it as it's supposed to be used? Back in the day I had a Motorola Bionic and it worked very well, even letting me make calls using voice control. The S5 and S7 Edge both have been less than useful in that respect. Pixel? Motorola? Someone else?
